On the morning of November 18 at 3 am I was awoken by the Lord to pray. I duly did, feeling an immediate urgency to pray the Blood of Jesus over my family, over all the servants of the Lord Most High God and over the country.
The Lord began to speak and the Lord said we as His followers need to realise there is currently an incredible spiritual battle raging over this nation and this battle is far more intense that we can even fathom, comprehend or understand. This spiritual battle will now affect every sphere of influence in this country, be it politics or the economy or entertainment or religion, and it will impact EVERY person in this nation, be it a believer or a non-believer.
Demonic manifestations will become rife, and many believers will struggle to remain standing if their hearts are not pure and their intent is not solely in serving God. We need to understand, this battle is INCREDIBLY intense and this directly impacts our prayers and our petitions before the Lord.
It is the same scenario in the Book of Daniel 10. (12) Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. (13) But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. (14) Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.”
Again, I cannot stress this enough. There is a very intense battle happening and it is waging around us. It is a battle to break the power of God’s movement in this country (South Africa) that will ultimately impact the rest of Africa and the world. There is great resistance at the moment in the spiritual realm to God’s servants’ actions and intentions, but we need to trust and keep on standing our ground. We must not be pushed back! For the Lord is saying that demonic activity has increased exponentially, and this is a battle over the land just as the battle has always raged over the land of Israel. This is not merely about individuals, or ministries, but God’s Kingdom right here in Africa where God is moving to set the revival fires alight.
The Lord showed that waves upon waves upon waves of attacks are coming against God’s children in this land and the continent. Waves upon waves upon waves to silence the disciples, to discourage them, to defeat them and to break them.
The commission looking into regulating religion in this country is one such wave. And so is the hate speech bill. But there are many more that will come. Many more says the Lord. Now is the time to stand says the Lord for our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers of darkness. This we must never forget.
For the Lord spoke clearly now is the time more than ever to stand, to keep on praying, to keep on declaring His Truth, to remain standing, not to back down, to keep on standing in authority in the spiritual realm. We must know our position of authority in the Lord, that the host of heaven is with us and that we need to KNOW that He who is with us and in us is greater than he who is in this world.
The Lord laid Acts 4 also on my heart for we are in such days more than ever (the days of persecution, threats and confrontation): (24) When they [disciples] heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. (25) You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David: “‘Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? (26) The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed one. (27) Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy Servant Jesus, whom you anointed. (28) They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. (29) Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. (30) Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” (31) After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
We need to understand there are conspiracies that abound against the people of God – His holy servants. The nations are raging against God’s Kingdom. These are times of great peril, strife and danger. We must come before the Lord as did the disciples in Acts 4 and petition the Righteous Judge to observe these threats and to enable us, His servants, to speak His word with great boldness. We must petition the Lord to stretch out His hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Jesus Christ. And yes, the Lord shall move in Power and so shall His servants move in power as in the days of Acts 4. We shall see the Holy Spirit move and we shall speak the word of God boldly.
Glory to God! For the Lord showed me those on the front lines of this battle are already terrible bruised and battered by the attacks. They must remain standing, they must remain standing in Truth, Love and the Spirit for the Lord reminds us the Battle Belongs to Him! He is the Righteous Judge. We need to remember David and Gideon and Samson. He is not a small God. He is a supernatural God who works supernaturally. Now is the time says the Lord to pray fervently, without ceasing, to petition Him, to seek Him, to stand in Truth for the Lord says with the rise of darkness comes the rise of His Glory and so all that is false and deceitful and ungodly and immoral shall be exposed and brought into the righteous light.
Now is the time says the Lord for us to actively wear the armour of God, for the Lord says the attacks will target the mind, the heart and the faith of the disciples. We need to therefore guard our hearts, guard our minds and stand in faith like never before lest we drown under the waves of attack. The enemy will try to bring confusion between what is right and wrong, between what is immoral and moral, between God’s ways and the ways of man, so we need to listen very carefully to the Lord.
For the Lord says the intent and purpose of the attacks is to discourage, to destroy, to silence, to cause disillusionment, to steal, and to kill. It is a very intense attack that will not seize or relent for it is trying to disrupt God’s move of revival.
I was made to understand “holiness” and “purity” is of utmost importance in these days. Of utmost importance to stand in the fight. We need to be pure of heart and no innocent blood must be on our hands. Our lips must be clean and must be pure with His Word. We must remain completely submitted to the Lord and be led only by the Spirit, for the Lord is busy shaking and sifting and those not on the Rock of our Lord shall find themselves driven away by the sands that succumb to the floods of the attack…
We carry the authority to declare God’s Truth. Let your light shine for then darkness shall flee and the deceitful work of iniquity shall be exposed. For now is the time more than ever to move in the power of the Blood of Jesus Christ. Speak it over the nation, over our families, over our fellow believers, and keep on believing in the power of the Blood! There is power in the Blood!
Do not fear says the Lord. We must not fear. We must not relent in our boldness or in the strength of the Lord for the battle belongs to Him! We need to understand the Lord shall not relent and the Lord shall repel for we need to stand upon the Word that no weapon forged against us shall prosper!
We must stand upon Psalm 91 and Psalm 23. Yes, we shall not go quietly into the day, neither shall we surrender or submit or bow the knee to the world! We must pray more, TOGETHER in unity says the Lord. Not just one day of corporate prayer but there must be more prayer in homes and among believers.
Pray, pray and pray! Plead, petition, and seek the Lord! Yes, let us raise our arms as Moses did for the battle belongs to God! We must keep on praying and keep on persisting in our faith for this land and the continent of Africa shall not be destroyed by the works of darkness. Demonic manifestations will occur more often, and the attacks against the families will be more intense, but we need to remain standing on the Rock of Christ. We need to keep our eyes upon Jesus! Be courageous, be bold, do not fear, for the Lord is with us! For there is also a Tsunami coming of the move of the Spirit! We must endure, stay the course, for those whose hope is in the Lord shall overcome.
